World Map Tiles [16x16]
A downloadable asset pack for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A cute, clean and colorful World Map Tileset, perfect for a JRPG overworld map or a Fire Emblem-esque strategy game. The style is inspired by bold GBA titles such as Mother 3 and Zelda Minish Cap, but with a fantasy bend. These tiles were created in a 16x16 grid and are arranged into three categories - Grassland, Desert and Snow.
Includes basic ground and terrain tiles for three biomes with trees, mountains, swamps etc. Plus a simple selection of overworld objects such as villages, pyramids, towers and more!
As is the case with all of my asset packs available
on itch, this pack is Royalty Free and usable in any engine without
limitation - all I ask is that if you have credits, to please pop my
handle [VexedEnigma/PixelJustice] or name [D Machin] in there!
In order to download this asset pack you must purchase it at or above the minimum price of $2.99 USD. You will get access to the following files:

Great tile set, I'm gearing up to jam out on a game with these.
Do you have any future plans on creating characters that will fit within these tiles?
hey bro, nice tilesets, I would buy it, but needed the same style with stone area or stone mountains, as well as detailed snow land, you can make them and make a bundle with them... But please don't delete this!!! I'll buy this maybe after few weeks when my bank account gets validated..
This tileset is awesome. The only thing I'm struggling with is how to transition from river to sea tile. Is there a means within the tileset to do so? Or would I need to add a tile for this?
Do these work with RPG maker MV?
Wow this tileset is extremely beautiful in a nice and simple way. It'd be very cool if somebody made a small RPG or strategy game using them. Simply amazing.
Hey Vexed. I purchased a license to this tileset a few weeks ago and I just noticed that the license is "All Rights Reserved." Can I use it in a commercial game without giving you royalties? What about promotional content? Merchandise?
Hey. Use in commercial games without royalties is fine, promotional content and merchandise is also fine [PS. If you did do any merch, I'd love to see it!]. What is not allowed is the claiming of the tileset as your own creation or the resale of the assets "as-is" so, no repackaging the tileset and selling it as a tileset. Hope that helps :)
Looks very nice! Thinking about purchasing... Right now, what's holding me back, is support for 'interiors.' Kind of like in Fire Emblem -- basic wall and floor tiles in this style. That would be awesome and add a lot to the usefulness of this already amazing looking set!
Hey VexedEnigma ! I didn't find the commenting section of your Pop-Horror assets so I'll write here. I really love your style and your work and I would like to buy the 2nd and 3rd pack from the RPGMaker store but then I saw there were also 2 pop packs here on itch.io... So I was wondering if both of duo pack are the same or are they different ? Thanks a lot and have a nice day !
Hello! These are beautiful tiles! Two quick questions: what size are the tiles and is the water (or anything else) animated?
Hey there, sorry for the late reply! There are currently no animated tiles in the set, however I will be updating and adding to this pack in the future so I'll keep that in mind. The tiles are all made to a 16x16 grid.
Hey Vexed =3 ! Lovely tiles! I was happy to find these. Thinking about getting them! Do you not have anything else on itch.io?
Hey KaBlooZio, thank you very much! I currently don't have anything else up here - working on a game jam at the moment but as soon as that's done I should have more time to work on pixel art packs. Any suggestions for what you'd like to see?
I really love your Pop! Horror Series of packs, especially those bigger variations you made and showed on RM Forums :) . Do you think you mightmake any of those for purchase? :D
Vexed! I was going to comment on how lovely these were when I noticed your name. Really, these look fantastic.
